Job Description

Introduction
A modern, fast-growing veterinary hospital in Denver, Colorado is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative team. This practice blends general practice and urgent care services in a Fear Free-focused environment designed to elevate both patient and client experience. It's an ideal opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys clinical variety, values mentorship, and wants to practice high-quality medicine without overnight shifts.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates year-round and offers flexible 10- or 12-hour shift models. Full-time veterinarians typically work three to four shifts per week, with weekends rotated fairly across the team. There are no overnight responsibilities, supporting a sustainable and balanced schedule.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a mix of primary care and urgent care services for companion animals. You will perform comprehensive physical examinations, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, manage same-day urgent cases, and perform surgical and dental procedures based on your experience and interests. The caseload includes wellness visits, preventive care, wound management, gastrointestinal illness, minor trauma, and other non-overnight urgent presentations. You will collaborate closely with experienced technicians and support staff to ensure efficient workflows and high clinical standards. Veterinarians with experience in urgent care, ER, surgery, or dentistry will find the case diversity especially engaging, though strong mentorship is available for those looking to expand their skills.

Practice Details
This hospital features advanced, tech-forward tools to support modern veterinary care, including a laparoscopic surgery suite and digital diagnostics. AI-supported medical record systems streamline note-taking, allowing doctors to focus more fully on patient care and client communication. The clinic environment is intentionally designed around Fear Free principles, creating a calm and positive experience for pets and their families. By integrating both general practice and urgent care under one roof, the team delivers seamless, convenient care to the Denver community.

Team
You will join a supportive, team-oriented group of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff who prioritize collaboration, open communication, and professional growth. Mentorship is embedded into daily practice, with experienced colleagues available to consult on cases and support your development at every career stage. The culture emphasizes shared learning, innovation, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance while delivering gold-standard medicine.
