We are seeking a Business Office Manager to join our team at our premier senior living community. This role oversees the full range of business office operations, including billing and collections, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, benefits administration, and support of HR and hiring processes.

The Business Office Manager supervises front desk staff and serves as a key partner to home office teams and community leadership, ensuring accurate financial operations, strong customer service, and effective communication across the organization. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the business office, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Prepare and present financial reports to facility management and corporate office
  • Manage the payroll process, including timekeeping, payroll processing, and payroll tax compliance
  • Monitor and maintain accurate census data to ensure proper billing and reimbursement
  • Manage the facility's petty cash and cash receipts processes
  • Provide support and guidance to the facility's management team on financial matters

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in healthcare finance, preferably in a skilled nursing facility
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes
  • Experience with electronic medical records and billing systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
