$1,000 Sign-On Bonus - Paid after 12 weeks (must be in good standing).

Position Overview

Suburban Landscape Management is hiring a Fertilization Technician / Licensed Applicator to service residential and commercial routes throughout Macomb and Oakland County. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality work, communicates well with customers, and wants to be part of an organized, positive team.

What You’ll Do (Job Duties)

• Apply lawn fertilization and pest control products according to labeled rates and best practices

• Operate and maintain application equipment (spreaders/sprayers), and keep your truck organized

• Identify common turf issues (weeds, insects, and disease) and communicate solutions clearly

• Follow route schedules and complete services efficiently and safely

• Maintain accurate service documentation (product usage, notes, and any required records)

• Provide great customer service and represent SLM professionally at all times

• Work in varying outdoor conditions and follow all safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Michigan Commercial Applicator License preferred (3A)

• OR ability to obtain licensing quickly (company reimburses certification/testing costs)

• Experience required (2+ seasons is a plus)

• Good driving record and reliable transportation to/from the shop

• Strong customer communication skills

• Basic insect and disease knowledge

• Dependable, organized, and team-oriented

Schedule / Season

• Primary season: Spring through Fall (full-time hours during the service season)
