Our Purchasing Department has an opportunity available due to business growth for an Inventory Planner in Columbus, Ohio.
The Inventory Planner position is responsible for
- Evaluating, planning, and releasing purchase orders to meet business requirements and objectives; monitoring delivery, including purchase order acknowledgements and expediting suppliers as may be required; resolving receiving and invoicing discrepancies; participating in new projects; product data entry; and providing timely information and follow-up relating to delivery and availability.
This position involves a range of interpersonal contacts both within the organization and the outside supplier community.
Successful candidate will have:
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Candidates must be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced team environment, and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while still maintaining attention to detail.
Preferred applicants must have :
- 2-4 years of inventory planning experience, and/or a Bachelor’s degree with equivalent work knowledge.
- Ideal candidates will have AWR Procurement systems and/or SAP business software experience.
