Production Worker - Saw Operator

As a Saw Operator at RiteScreen, you will play a critical role in preparing materials for production. Using specialized equipment and tools, you will cut metal stock materials to precise specifications, ensuring quality standards are met and supporting efficient production flow.

• Review manufacturing orders to confirm specifications and quantities.

• Prepare and cut materials accurately so finished pieces are ready for the next stage of production.

• Operate saws and other machines and hand tools to complete cutting tasks.

• Monitor production for inconsistencies and promptly report concerns to supervisors.

• Resolve minor production issues and escalate significant problems as needed.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations to support efficient operations.

• Notify materials handlers when supplies or replacements are needed.

• Follow company safety protocols, including PPE requirements, and participate in ongoing safety training.

• Maintain organized and clean work areas using 5S principles.

• Work collaboratively with teammates and cross-train to support production needs.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Must be at least 18 years old due to manufacturing equipment and safety requirements.

• Two or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Effective time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Manufacturing experience, particularly in window or door production.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused sense of urgency.

• Team-oriented with effective verbal communication skills.

• Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction.

• Willingness to learn and participate in cross-training opportunities.

Employees must be able to:

• Stand frequently while performing repetitive tasks.

• Move about the facility to access machinery and materials.

• Lift and move materials up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance.

• Use manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate machinery and tools safely.
