Lester Brothers is hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. This is a hands-on role for mechanics who take pride in solid work, safety, and keeping equipment running reliably. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel trucks, trailers, and equipment
• Service engines, air brake systems, lights, and mechanical components
• Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues and determine repair solutions
• Inspect equipment to identify defects, failures, or maintenance needs
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to reduce downtime
• Replace or recondition parts including brakes, pistons, bearings, gears, and valves
• Safely raise vehicles and heavy components using hydraulic jacks and hoists
• Install parts and equipment to manufacturer and company specifications
• Complete work orders, inspections, and required paperwork accurately

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic (required)
• Strong working knowledge of diesel engines and air brake systems
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently
• Clean driving record preferred
• Certifications are a plus, but not required

Physical & Work Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, crawl, and climb throughout the shift
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50–75 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Comfortable working under vehicles, around heavy machinery, and in confined spaces
• Ability to work in environments with noise, dust, grease, fumes, and varying weather conditions
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or extended hours as needed
