Our client is a full-service animal hospital in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join a highly respected, AAHA-accredited practice. The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats and is known for holding medical excellence, preventive care, and strong client partnerships as core priorities.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will deliver high-quality, patient-focused veterinary care while building long-term relationships with clients and their pets. Clinical responsibilities include performing comprehensive examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning, preventive and wellness care, urgent case management during hospital hours, and surgical procedures appropriate to experience level. The role emphasizes clear client communication, collaborative case discussions, and practicing advanced small animal medicine to consistently high standards. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital has served its community since 2005 and operates as a center for advanced veterinary medicine and collaboration. The practice supports a broad range of services including wellness and prevention programs, extensive diagnostic testing, advanced medical care, complex and routine surgical procedures, urgent care, and pet boarding. Hospital standards related to diagnostic imaging, anesthesiology, and patient care protocols are consistently evaluated and maintained, allowing clinicians to fully utilize their training in a well-supported, professionally structured environment. The culture is collaborative, mentorship-driven, and focused on continuous clinical growth.
Team

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
