Product Development Lead

Responsibilities:

• Manage product development projects from concept, design, prototype, validation, and production release.
• Convert customer feedback, sales insights, service data, and warranty trends into defined product specifications and technical requirements.
• Oversee multiple concurrent development programs, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and timelines are met.
• Coordinate prototype fabrication, testing activities, validation processes, and engineering change implementation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable DOT, VIN, and emissions regulations.
• Monitor project budgets, maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), and control product cost targets. Collaborate with suppliers on design updates, improvements, quality reviews, and component changes.
• Maintain comprehensive product documentation, including drawings, revision control, manuals, and engineering records.
• Contribute to the improvement of product development systems, workflows, and best practices.
• Perform competitive benchmarking, market analysis, and emerging technology research.
• Partner with marketing teams to provide product specifications, technical data, and launch support materials.
• Deliver products on schedule, within budget, and according to defined specifications.

Qualifications:

• Experience leading or supporting engineering and product development projects.
• Strong project management, planning, and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems; experience with mobile equipment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with CAD systems and engineering documentation practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and process discipline.
• Hands-on mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
