Halifax Veterinary Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team!

This is an excellent opportunity for Veterinary Technicians who are excited to fully utilize their skills in both surgery and outpatient care while building meaningful connections with clients and their pets in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

In this role, you will:
  • Assist with patient preparation and recovery during surgical and dental procedures
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records to support high-quality patient care
  • Support efficient exam room flow by assisting with outpatient care, patient handling, and appointment preparation
  • Communicate with clients by checking them in for appointments, reviewing treatment plans, providing discharge instructions, and addressing questions with empathy and clarity
  • Anticipate the needs of the medical team to help maintain an efficient schedule while upholding the highest standards of patient care

This position is ideal for Veterinary Technician who enjoy engaging with clients and supporting outstanding patient care in a collaborative, team environment.

Schedule
  • Flexible, full-time position
  • 5/8 schedule
  • Monday-Friday only
  • No weekends!

Full-time benefits and compensation**:
  • Compensation: $18-20 per hour, for each hour worked*
  • Bonus package: $500 bonus for candidates with 3+ years of consecutive, current veterinary technician experience

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
  • 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Radiology
    • Surgical setup and assisting
    • Phlebotomy
    • IM & SQ injections
    • Laboratory sample collection
    • Inpatient care
