Design Within Reach is looking for a Furniture Repair Coordinator to join our team on a Monday through Thursday 6 am to 4:30 pm schedule, and we want it to be you! You'll work in a fast-paced environment where you will receive, pack, and ship our merchandise as well as upholding our high shipping standards. (This role is full-time with the potential for overtime)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Furniture Repair Coordinator to join our fast-paced team. In this role, you will manage furniture repair and refurbishment processes, ensuring all pieces meet our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Furniture Repair & Restoration

• Perform repairs across all furniture categories, including seating, case goods, upholstery, and accessories
• Diagnose issues, determine repair paths, and execute high-quality fixes
• Replace components, perform mechanical adjustments, and complete cosmetic touch-ups
• Ensure all repaired items meet functional, aesthetic, and safety standards

Training & Team Development

• Train new technicians on repair processes, tools, and safety standards
• Support skill development and build consistent workflows

Inventory & Workflow Coordination

• Manage parts inventory and ensure timely replenishment
• Coordinate furniture through repair and refurbishment processes
• Maintain organized workstations and documentation

Operational Excellence

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to enhance productivity

Qualifications

• You thrive in a very fast-paced environment.
• Perform in a safe manner consistent with company policies and federal, state, and local laws.
• You can consistently lift 50 - 75lbs and team lift up-to 250lbs occasionally.
• You have strong communication skills.
