We are looking to add a Veterinary Technician to our Surgery Team! This position will be heavily focused on assisting with surgeries and inducing and monitoring anesthesia. If surgery is your jam, apply today!

• Monday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
• Tuesday: 9:00 am - 8:00 pm
• Wednesday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
• Thursday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
• Friday: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
• Saturday: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
• Sunday: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

This position is heavily focused on assisting with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring. Candidates must be proficient in both in order to be considered.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, anesthetic management, and completing surgical notes and charts for procedures assisted with.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

We're looking for:

• Must have minimum of 2 years experience minimum as surgery tech and monitoring anesthesia.
• A licensed veterinary technician or VTNE eligibility is preferred, but not required.
• Experienced and proficient in anesthesia and surgical monitoring.
• Knowledge in pre-operative care, preparation for surgical procedures, post-operative care, and discussing continued care with clients.
• Ability to interpret medical records and record client history accurately.
• Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner.
• A high work ethic and positive attitude team member.
• Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work.
• Some weekend availability.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely.
• Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin.
• Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests.
• Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs, including dental radiography.
• A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one's knowledge and skillset.
• Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency.

Pay Range:  $20-$30/hr. depending on licensure status.
