This exciting opportunity as a School Nutrition Manager (Sales Representative) offers a salaried, exempt position with a collaborative sales environment supporting K-12 school nutrition programs. This role is ideal for a sales professional with foodservice experience who enjoys account management, business development, and strategic customer partnerships.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow an assigned K-12 customer base while identifying and developing new business opportunities within the territory.
  • Execute sales plans and account strategies to increase distribution penetration, customer conversion, and case movement.
  • Build strong relationships through direct customer communication including in-person meetings, virtual meetings, phone calls, and email.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with customer service, logistics, procurement, vendors, and bid teams to ensure service expectations are met.
  • Participate in bid and RFP management activities in coordination with internal bid teams.
  • Conduct customer business reviews using analytics, reports, and infographics to identify opportunities for service improvement and growth.
  • Drive engagement across internal teams on high-profile opportunities to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate new product and pricing requests through established protocols and communicate outcomes to customers.
  • Represent the organization professionally at customer conferences, seminars, and industry meetings.
  • Plan and manage weekly and monthly schedules using Microsoft Outlook while executing territory strategies effectively.
  • Manage individual expense accounts within established budget guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of direct sales experience in the foodservice industry, preferably within the K-12 school segment.
  • Strong business development, account management, and relationship-building experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present findings clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
