Production Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate all production activities on the assigned shift to meet operational goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Make daily decisions regarding staffing, equipment utilization, and material allocation to optimize production flow and performance.
• Supervise production personnel in compliance with company policies, labor regulations, and safety standards.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, and employee development activities.
• Enforce company policies, standards, and work rules while promoting a positive, respectful, and productive work environment.
• Address employee relations matters, including coaching, corrective actions, attendance issues, and performance improvement.
• Identify and develop high-potential employees through mentoring, training plans, and succession planning.
• Conduct weekly shift meetings with production staff and daily meetings with Working Team Leads to communicate priorities, resolve issues, and ensure accountability.
• Establish and maintain training standards for Leads, Operators, Pulpers, and Packers in safety, quality, and productivity.
• Monitor daily shift performance to ensure production targets and operational expectations are met.
• Proactively identify production risks or shortfalls and collaborate with the Plant Manager to implement corrective actions.
• Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Purchasing, Customer Service, Human Resources, Engineering, and Quality.
• Monitor on-time delivery performance and support investigations into quality issues, including customer complaints and internal corrective action reports.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective action implementation to prevent recurrence of production or quality issues.
• Champion workplace safety by conducting audits, identifying hazards, supporting safety initiatives, and serving as a resource to the safety program.
• Track and improve key performance indicators including scrap, downtime, throughput, and labor efficiency.
• Ensure accurate completion of injury reports and address safety concerns in coordination with Team Leads.
• Provide ongoing safety training and reinforcement of safe work practices.
• Promote workplace organization and continuous improvement by identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending enhancements to processes, equipment, and layouts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations.

Skills/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED with 3-5 years of Manufacturing experience
• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a team lead or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate diverse teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication abilities.
• Proven time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently manage daily production priorities and resolve operational issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to complete reports and production documentation.
