Global NPDI Purchasing Program Manager

Vertiv is seeking a Manager within our Global Materials Team to coordinate purchasing activities that support new product development. This is a critical role to drive alignment and execution between the regional purchasing teams and the engineering teams. This role will champion process improvements, key performance indicators, and governance initiatives to ensure Vertiv achieves world-class new product development.

As a strategic leader, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to review, propose, and implement processes within new product development. This role will work with the regional teams to implement the Global procedures, monitor the buyers for their respective regions, and ensure there is adherence to all processes and metrics. Your expertise will help shape Vertivs materials planning framework and support continuous improvement initiatives to achieve global operations goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert to enhance planning and purchasing processes for new product development across functions.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental cooperation, ensuring alignment between Procurement, Project Managers, and Engineering within projects.
  • Lead and coordinate global NPDI processes, ensuring regional and system-specific variations are effectively managed.
  • Establish standards, deliver training, and share best practices across regions.
  • Manage platform-level tasks such as data gathering and maintenance to support KPIs and dashboards.
  • Develop and implement regional and global SOPs.
  • Develop and implement KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
  • 5 or more years of experience in new product development or project/program management.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively, including conducting effective meetings and presentations.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrix organization
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with tools (Excel, PowerBI, Smartsheet, PowerPoint).
