Overview
We are seeking an individual who has construction experience with MGP remediation or UST removals to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the regulatory compliance of regulatory substances on construction sites in various locations Illinois. This position requires hands-on work in the field, focusing on non-special regulated waste material management in accordance with Illinois State Regulations. The individual hired for this position will provide on-site monitoring of various soils requiring specific methods of disposal and detailed documentation of same. Must have at least one year of similar experience to the position description.
Responsibilities
- Arrive at the work location and conduct a review of the construction site layout.
- Ensure stationing and offsets are marked and contractors are aware of the regulated waste material areas and how the soil must be managed
- Utilization of a PID meter for health & safety
- Measure area of excavation/material disturbance to determine volume
- Track and document landfill ticket numbers/tonnage when indicated
- Ensure temporary staged material is managed in accordance with the pre-construction plan
- Maintain daily photo log
- Maintain field notes and submit daily report
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used during each project.
Must have experience working with contaminated soil.
Must be able to read construction plans
Will consider part-time, semi-retired or seasonal employee with required experience.
