GENERAL PURPOSE
The Plywood Assembler is responsible for assembling plywood forms, frames, and subcomponents used in the production of furniture products. This role ensures components are built accurately according to specifications, meet quality standards, and are produced at the required rate to support production schedules while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assemble plywood frames, forms, and related furniture components using hand tools, clamps, adhesives, fasteners, and fixtures according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
Inspect materials and completed assemblies to ensure proper fit, alignment, and structural integrity, report defects or inconsistencies to the appropriate team member.
Follow standard work methods and lean manufacturing practices to meet daily production requirements and maintain workflow efficiency.
Safely operate basic assembly equipment and tools; perform routine checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
Assist with movement, staging, and handling of plywood materials and finished assemblies as needed to support production flow.
Participate in cross-training to learn additional departmental functions and provide operational flexibility.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve assembly issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support business and production objectives.

Education/Experience
One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency
Skills and Abilities
Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting.
Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals.
Demonstrated willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment.
Required to communicate and to be able to see with or without correction.

Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms for the duration of the shift.
Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
