Position: Executive Assistant-Human Resources

Reports to: Chief Talent Officer

Employment Status: Regular/Full-time/8 hours p/day/12 months

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $52,988 - $67,654

NOTE: The lists below are not ranked in order of importance:

Probationary Period: 120 days

Essential Functions:

  • Communications-Must be able to explain Board policies, regulations, contract provisions, state department regulations, and departmental procedures.
  • Record Keeping retains all records for licensed staff and classified staff with confidentiality
  • License/Certification Keep records of all staff licenses for notification and State of Ohio requirements.
  • Assist with the Substitute Calling System (AESOP) be proficient in troubleshooting and supporting staff for substitute teacher placement
  • Civil Service Testing testing for all secretarial staff; compiling lists; accepting applications for custodians and grading for placement on civil service lists
  • Posting Classified and Licensed Openings for internal transfers. Providing applicant information to building principals and/or supervisors, and notification of the award of the position. Posting openings on the web page and external sources when necessary.
  • Preparing Board materials every month must be able to work independently on preparing all HR actions for the Board of Education monthly meetings
  • Understanding of the Family and Medical Leave Act
  • Must have an understanding of Google and Microsoft Systems, as well as an aptitude to learn other internal programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or associate's degree in a related area preferred
  • Minimum three years of experience in education
  • Experience in the internet and other types of research
  • Alternative to the above qualifications, as superintendent and/or board may find appropriate
  • Preferred Human Resource Experience

  • Aptitude for various computer programs

Additional Working Conditions:

  • Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather conditions
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull various items up to a maximum of 25 pounds, e.g., paper boxes, deliveries of supplies and equipment
  • Interaction with children who are experiencing dysregulation and/or have experienced trauma
  • Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue
  • Occasional requirement to travel, both daily and overnight
  • Frequent weekend/evening/summer work
  • Frequently move and position oneself as necessary to access and operate equipment;
  • Frequently move around the workspace and travel throughout the school building;
