responsibilities:
- Design comprehensive site layouts, grading plans, and utility systems for various developments using Civil 3D.
- Conduct due diligence, including zoning reviews, agency requirement research, and site feasibility visits.
- Create concept drawings and manage CAD technicians to produce accurate design documentation.
- Perform stormwater analysis, pipe sizing, and hydraulic evaluations using hydrology software.
- Develop grading plans to balance earthwork and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
- Plan utility systems (water, sewer, gas, comms) and resolve horizontal/vertical conflicts.
- Design erosion control measures and construction sequencing to maintain environmental standards.
- Prepare site improvement cost estimates for client budgeting and bonding.
- Mentor junior staff, review design work, and maintain quality control.
- Coordinate project activities and communications between staff, subcontractors, and clients.
- Manage personal work schedules to meet budgets and project deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 4+ years of professional experience in land development and site design.
- E.I.T license required
- Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D for full-cycle project design.
- Knowledge of hydrology software and municipal land development regulations.
