Payroll Auditor

Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of union benefit contribution requirements as outlined in collective bargaining agreements.
• Plan and conduct reviews at employer sites, including periodic travel outside the tri-state region.
• Review payroll records and compare them against benefit fund filings to verify accurate contributions.
• Analyze findings, note any variances, and create detailed audit summaries using Excel.
• Manage audit assignments with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and professional standards.
• Ideal for entry-level professionals seeking to grow in auditing or compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience in bookkeeping or payroll.
• Previous experience working with payroll data or bookkeeping records is beneficial.
• Access to dependable transportation is required.
• Comfortable working a hybrid schedule after completing training.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to evaluate information, identify issues, and make sound decisions.
• Legal work authorization in the United States
