Job Summary

Job Description

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to provide immediate surge support for the completion of key enterprise initiatives including, but not limited to, Fleet Technology Optimization, Bus Technology Optimization, RailcartoEverything (R2X) communication, Access Services Technology Optimization, and TapnGo.

This position is a contract role and is hybrid, with limited onsite presence required (approximately 12 days per week onsite).

What Youll Do

Development

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive frontend applications using React, Vue, or comparable frameworks

• Build, optimize, and support backend services using Node.js, Python, or Javabased frameworks

• Design and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs to connect multiple transit and operational systems

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and support cloudnative deployments in environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Explore and integrate emerging technologies, including AI for predictive maintenance and ML for passenger demand forecasting

• Ensure application scalability, performance, and high availability to support peak transit utilization

System Integration & Data Management

• Work with realtime data streams (Kafka, MQTT, WebSockets) sourced from buses, trains, and paratransit systems

• Support data pipelines, analytics dashboards, and reporting tools to drive operational and ridership insights

• Build integrations with thirdparty vendors, including payment processors and ridesharing partners

• Integrate software with hardware systems, including onboard devices and IoT sensors

• Manage and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases to support structured and unstructured transit data

Operations

• Perform automated and manual testing, debugging, and performance tuning

• Implement monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) to ensure system reliability and uptime

• Collaborate closely with DevOps and IT operations teams to ensure smooth deployments and environment stability

• Apply security best practices to ensure data protection and regulatory compliance

What Youll Need

Required:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field

• 8+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer

• 8+ years of experience with mobile application development (iOS, Android, or crossplatform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter)

• 8+ years of experience applying UI/UX principles and collaborating with design teams

• 8+ years of experience in performance optimization for web and mobile applications

• 8+ years of experience with modern application development frameworks and best practices

• Strong frontend development expertise (React, Vue, Angular)

• Strong backend development expertise (Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET)

• Extensive experience with database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis) and API design

• 6+ years of experience with cloud platforms, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems and solve problems in fastpaced, crossfunctional environments

Preferred:

• Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field

• 4+ years of exposure to data analytics, AI/ML, or big data platforms

Physical Demands

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and applicable federal, state, and local standards

• Primarily sedentary work, involving sitting or remaining stationary for extended periods, with occasional movement within the office environment

• Ability to perform repetitive computerbased tasks, including use of a keyboard, mouse, and monitor
