Contract Attorney (Hybrid/Remote)

Cove Law, P.A. is seeking an experienced contract attorney to assist with federal litigation and regulatory defense matters, with a focus on Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) class action defense and civil enforcement actions by the FTC or state Attorney General's.

This role is ideal for a seasoned litigator who is comfortable working independently and collaborating with a small, highly specialized law firm handling complex regulatory and litigation matters nationwide.

Compensation

• $90–$125 per billable hour, depending on experience

• Flexible workload and scheduling

• Fully remote engagement if preferred

Core Responsibilities

• Assist and/or lead federal court litigation, including TCPA and related consumer-protection matters

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda

• Enter formal appearances in federal court (as appropriate)

• Coordinate with firm attorneys and clients on litigation strategy and case management

• Support defense of FTC, State Attorney General, and other regulatory enforcement actions

• Maintain high standards of legal writing, analysis, and professionalism

Additional (Preferred) Experience

• Regulatory compliance work, including:

  • TCPA compliance programs

  • Website Privacy Policies and Terms of Use

  • Consumer-protection and telemarketing compliance issues

• Familiarity with class action procedure, arbitration, and motion practice in federal court

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law and admitted to federal court in at least one jurisdiction

• Prior experience with TCPA litigation, class actions, or regulatory defense strongly preferred

• Ability to work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision

• Strong legal writing and analytical skills

• Professional, responsive, and reliable communication style
