Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, motivated Broker-in-Charge (BIC) to lead and grow our Holden Beach real estate office. This role is ideal for a proven real estate professional who combines technical expertise, creative marketing ideas, strong people management skills, and a passion for success.
The Broker-in-Charge will oversee daily operations, support a team of six active agents, drive performance, and help position the company as a market leader in the Holden Beach area. The BIC can also represent own clients in buying and selling properties.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of six real estate agents
- Foster a positive, high-performance, and collaborative office culture
- Provide coaching, accountability, and performance feedback
- Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one check-ins
Broker-in-Charge Responsibilities
- Serve as the firm’s designated Broker-in-Charge in compliance with NC Real Estate Commission rules
- Oversee transactions, contracts, and compliance
- Ensure ethical standards and best practices are followed at all times
Marketing & Business Development
- Develop and implement creative marketing ideas to grow listings and brand visibility
- Oversee digital marketing efforts (website, social media, email campaigns, online listings)
- Identify new business opportunities and local partnerships
- Help agents improve their personal branding and marketing strategies
Recruiting & Growth
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new agents as the business grows
- Build a pipeline of talented agents for future expansion
- Develop training and onboarding processes for new hires
Technical & Operational Skills
- Strong understanding of MLS, CRM systems, transaction management software, and real estate technology
- Analyze market data and sales performance to guide strategy
- Improve systems and workflows for efficiency and scalability
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina real estate license with Broker-in-Charge eligibility
- Minimum 5+ years of real estate experience, including leadership or management
- Proven success in sales, team leadership, or brokerage management
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Creative mindset with solid marketing and branding ideas
- Experience recruiting, training, and retaining agents preferred
