The Mansion at Rosemont, recognized by U.S. News & World Report as Best of Senior Living 2022-23, is hiring a part-time Fitness and Activities Coordinator to join our team! This position will serve our Personal Care Area at The Mansion at Rosemont. $20-$21 per hour based on experience.

Fitness and Activities Coordinator

The fitness & Activities Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and facilitation of a dynamic and engaging activities program. This role blends fitness, wellness, and life enrichment programming to support the physical, cognitive, social, emotional and intellectual well-being of our residents

Schedule : Part- Time (20 hours per week)

Shift: 10am-2pm

Pay: $20 - $21 per hour based on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and lead a variety of group and individual activities that support wellness across multiple dimensions, including social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and creative enrichment.

  • Plan and facilitate daily activities that promote brain fitness, mobility, creativity, and emotional wellbeing.

  • Educate and motivate residents on health awareness, movement, and physical selfmanagement.

  • Assist residents of varying levels of independence in achieving fitness and wellness goals through group fitness and wellness activities.

  • Assess resident interests and abilities and accurately document participation and engagement using the PointClickCare (PCC) system.

  • Maintain and update resident communication boards with current announcements, flyers, and daily activities.

  • Utilize Cubigo, the resident communication platform, to post digital announcements, event updates, and activity information for residents and families.

  • Create opportunities for family involvement and intergenerational connections within programming.

  • Coordinate with Activity Coordinators and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed.

  • Plan and supervise offsite trips in accordance with resident interests and established safety standards.

  • Work closely with team members and departments to support an integrated and holistic resident experience.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the aging process and respond thoughtfully to the evolving needs of older adults, ensuring programming preserves dignity while encouraging independence and purpose.

  • Participate in and successfully complete the communitys Driving Program.

  • Transport residents for scheduled outings and programs as needed, following all safety and driving guidelines.

To be successful in the role, you would have:

  • Associate degree in recreation, health education, wellness, or a related field required

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 12 years of experience in activity programming, fitness, or wellness with older adults preferred

  • CPR certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)

  • Valid drivers license and ability to meet driving program requirements
