Job Profile Summary
A business analyst for the Single Counterparty Credit Limits (SCCL) regulation will play a vital role in establishing technology infrastructure, governance framework and regulatory compliance. The role will focus on partnering with IT, Data and Architecture stakeholders to create data lineages, perform data validation and execute testing. It involves partnering with teams from the systems of record and lines of business to identify business logic for exposures and mitigants. The business analyst will play a vital role ensuring compliance with the SCCL regulatory requirements and establishing high data integrity standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Exposures and Mitigants: Partner with stakeholders from front office, IT, architecture and data office to create business rules for exposures and mitigants in relation to balances, eligibility, linkages and other attributes.
- Testing: Test exposure and mitigant data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, consistency and reliability.
- Testing: Perform data validation, functional testing, scenario testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing for exposure and mitigant data.
- Data Validation: Perform issue identification, issue remediation and error handling by analyzing and reconciling exposure and mitigant data.
- Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis on exposure and mitigant data from systems, applications and data sources using SQL or other programming languages.
- Data Analysis: Research systems, applications and data sources to create data mappings and data lineage.
- Data Quality: Develop and implement data quality metrics to measure accuracy and completeness.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders from various segments and lines of business such as front office, IT, architecture and data office.
- Process: Craft policies, procedures and protocols related to exposures and mitigants for the SCCL regulation.
- Process: Identify areas of process improvement and recommend optimization strategies.
- Following SCCL implementation, the following roles and responsibilities will be part of business as usual:-
- Business As Usual: Perform daily monitoring and ensure daily compliance for the SCCL regulation.
- Business As Usual: Perform root cause analysis, gap analysis, triage and validation on exposure and mitigant data.
- Business As Usual: Partner with stakeholders from systems of record, IT and EDW to analyze and reconcile data, breaks and issues and produce exception reports.
- Business As Usual: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the exposure and mitigant products and stay up-to-date on projects, enhancements and transformations across the organization.
- Miscellaneous: Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, finance, computer science or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in business analysis or a related role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Data Validation: Experience with performing root-cause analysis, triage, testing, control checks and reconciliations.
- SQL: Experience with data analysis tools such as MS Excel, SQL etc.
- Exposures and Mitigants: Knowledge or experience of exposure and mitigant products used across the banking industry.
- Data: Experience in banking or financial services industry working with data for consumer, commercial and investments segments.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data inconsistencies and issues.
- Systems: Experience in systems such as loan servicing, loan origination, investments and derivatives.
- Project Management: Knowledge or experience in project management methodologies such as waterfall and agile.
- Data Governance: Knowledge or experience in data management principles and practices, including data governance and data quality.
- Best Practices: Knowledge of data management best practices.

Compensation Range:
$57,000-$113,000 annually
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
