Summary:

The Business Systems Analyst - Senior will work in Huntington's Branch and Contact Center Technology Department. This position is intended to serve as a career path option for highly skilled Business Analysts who do not have direct supervisory responsibility, but lead/participate in projects of a significant nature.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads assigned projects and/or provides advanced technical and consultative support to other team members for assigned business unit or assigned application(s) that are typically more complex and of a larger impact to the company.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of applications and stays current in technical enhancements, methodologies and trends related to the assigned application(s).
  • Analyzes existing systems or procedures and identifies technical or procedural improvements.
  • Recommends business practices to optimize use of application systems.
  • Develops operational procedures for products, services and systems.
  • Designs processes to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and generates special or Ad Hoc reports.
  • Provides technical support to business unit, customers, management and other users.
  • Serves as liaison between software vendors and business units, or between users and other corporate areas.
  • As this is highly specialized, it is expected that the number of employees assigned to this position will be minimal.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 to 8 years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project planning and management, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge and/or Experience in waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Experience in a Business Analyst role performing the listed responsibilities, including experience with the following artifacts is desirable:
  • Eliciting and documenting functional requirements and use cases
  • Producing process flows using Visio
  • Demonstrable technical skills and ability to learn technology
  • Strong organization, written and oral communication skills
  • Experience facilitating group sessions to gather requirements with ability to ask relevant questions to drill into the details
  • Experience tracking and driving deliverables to completion
  • Coordinate annual access reviews and technical recovery exercises - ensure system records are complete and approved
  • Document system current state and technical procedures, gathering details from teams and assisting with documentation.
  • Drive elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation of project scope and requirements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate scope and requirements sessions with stakeholders.
  • Ensure scope aligns with business objectives and requirements trace back to scope.
  • Review scope with application BSAs to confirm understanding and alignment.
  • Collaborate with application BSAs to set timelines, identify risks, and manage issues.
  • Facilitate reviews of requirements and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Track requirements status and communicate risks/issues to the IT Project Manager.
  • Good reporting and Excel skills, understanding of XML and SQL queries, web services and API mapping.
  • Experience in working in iterative/Agile environment
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or Outlook and SharePoint
  • Building and writing requirements for payment systems, ATM systems, Teller systems, POS systems, or embedded windows (IoT)
  • Ensure effective communication within the BSA team and project leadership.
  • Participate in reviewing key deliverables (Architecture Solution, Technical Design, Test Plan).
  • Triage issues and defects during all test cycles; provide implementation and warranty support.
