Accounts Payable Analyst:
On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for an Accounts Payable Analyst for a full-time role. This position is an onsite position, five days a week, at our client's Dublin, Ohio office.
Accounts Payable Analyst - Job Description:
This individual will provide accounting support to the Trading, Supply & Logistics & Marketing business unit focused on US Refined Products. The Accounts Payable Analyst will handle functions related to the Accounts Payable lifecycle and work closely as part of an integrated team to ensure all the company's commitments are handled promptly and with quality.
Accounts Payable Analyst - Responsibilities:
Communicating with vendors to ensure invoices are accurate and compliant with company guidelines
Matching invoices to transaction systems to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly
Preparing check requests for payment of bills and invoices
Researching payment terms and interest rates of vendors to determine payment strategies
Reviewing invoices for accuracy and documentation requirements
Obtaining signoffs required to pay vendors
Coding invoices to ensure appropriate accounting treatment
Determining which invoices should be paid first and priority handling
Coordinating with accounting staff to ensure payments are processed correctly
Coordinating with teams in front and middle office
Monthly reporting and reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts and vendor accounts
Interacting with head-office in Calgary
Accounts Payable Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
High school diploma or GED certificate
8+ years' progressive experience in AP or related role
Advanced Excel and SAP skills
Attention to detail
Organization skills
Communication skills
Problem-solving skills
Accounts Payable Analyst - Nice-to-Have Skills:
Bachelor's degree
Experience in oil, gas, or refined product marketing/trading
Experience with ERP (SAP) systems
Experience with ETRM (Rightangle) systems
Teamwork skills
Accounts Payable Analyst - Assignment Length:
This is a 12 month contract.
