Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Responsibilities:

• Maintain high proficiency in the assigned imaging modality while actively pursuing professional development to support a progressive department culture
• Adhere to hospital policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards always
• Assist physicians during imaging procedures and ensure a safe, positive patient experience
• Contribute to departmental efforts to maintain required accreditations
• Participate in on-call coverage, including preparing doses in the hot lab as needed
• Initiate IV access and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients
• Accurately document and enter patient information into electronic medical systems

Required Qualification and Experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required
• Associate's degree from an accredited two-year AMA Nuclear Medicine program required
• 4-6 years of relevant professional experience required
• Ability to work independently while supporting and mentoring less experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologists
• Proven capability to manage complex patient cases with strong proficiency in imaging acquisition and processing systems
• Demonstrated leadership skills, serving as a resource, mentor, and preceptor
• Strong communication, comprehension, and documentation skills, with the ability to follow safety guidelines and clinical protocols
• Effective problem-solving skills, including data analysis, sound judgment, and adaptability to changing situations
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
• ARDMS or ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) certification required upon hire
• NMTCB certification required upon hire
