Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager will manage customer accounts and drive revenue growth across the Midwest U.S. territory. This role focuses on selling industrial cooling tower products to markets such as ethanol, pulp and paper, chemical, petrochemical, refinery, and power. The ideal candidate is outgoing, a self-starter, and skilled in relationship-building and strategic account management. Must have a strong sense of urgency to meet quarterly and annual sales targets. Remote position with 50% travel.

As a Regional Sales Manager, You Will:
  • Own and grow sales in the Midwest territory, targeting key industrial accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic accounts and project plans for major opportunities.
  • Build multi-level customer relationships to influence decisions and drive growth.
  • Assess customer needs, technical requirements, and pain points to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, prepare technical reports, and present proposals.
  • Promote products and solutions, effectively positioning against competitors.
  • Engage in executive-level communications with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Perform competitive analyses and develop account-specific strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer service teams to ensure account success.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for product lines, providing technical guidance.
  • Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales and margin targets.
  • Gather and report customer feedback, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Travel up to 50% for customer visits, industry events, and internal meetings

Skills/Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B industrial sales experience, preferably in industrial equipment or related sectors.
  • Proven success in strategic account management and complex solution selling.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Technical aptitude to understand and explain product specifications and solutions.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Achievement of sales revenue and margin targets.
  • Growth in number and value of strategic accounts.
  • Successful execution of account capture plans.
  • High levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Timely and accurate reporting of sales activity and market intelligence.
  • Development of strong, multi-level customer relationships.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
