CPP Cudahy is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team! This role reports to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager at our plant in Cudahy, CA and is considered a critical member of the team, working closely with the Maintenance and Operations groups on a daily basis to minimize downtime.

Pay: $28-$33/hr
Work schedule: 5am - 1:30pm + OT as needed.

Major Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot & repair various pieces of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic equipment
  • Ensure that safety-related work orders are given top priority to ensure the safety of all CPP team members
  • Perform scheduled preventative/predictive maintenance and emergency repairs
  • Work on fabrication projects for all areas of the plant using a lathe/mill and various pieces of welding equipment
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends
  • Able to lift 10-40 lbs

About You
  • 3 years of previous experience in a Technical Maintenance role in an industrial manufacturing environment required for this position
  • HS diploma or equivalent GED required, but candidates not meeting this requirement who possesses relevant experience will be considered.
  • Previous experience working with PLCs and VFDs strongly preferred,
  • Mig and Stick welding experience
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of electrical testing equipments, skilled in use of standard mechanical hand tools.
  • Strong communication skills required
