School - Based Prevention Counselor ( LMHC / LCSW )

About the Role

We are seeking a licensed or license-eligible mental health professional who is passionate about preventing substance use before it starts. This role delivers evidence-informed prevention education in school settings and works alongside educators, families, and communities to protect youth mental health.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate drug and mental health prevention education in K–12 school settings
• Build rapport with students, educators, and school administrators
• Identify and respond to early warning signs related to substance use and mental health
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary prevention team
• Receive training, curriculum support, and ongoing supervision

Who We’re Looking For

Required

• Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field
• Florida licensure or license-eligible (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, RMHCI, RCSWI, etc.)
• Comfortable presenting to groups and engaging youth

Preferred

• Experience in school-based, prevention, community mental health, or public health settings
• Interest in substance use prevention, early intervention, and youth mental health
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
