Schenectady Center is hiring a Assistant Administrator in Schenectady, NY.

Schenectady Center is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Administrator to support daily operations and management of our skilled nursing facility. This role provides hands-on leadership experience and mentorship for individuals pursuing a Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license and a long-term career in healthcare administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the licensed Administrator with overall facility operations

  • Support department heads and staff to ensure quality resident care

  • Help oversee staffing, scheduling, and employee engagement

  • Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations

  • Participate in resident and family relations

  • Assist with audits, reports, and performance improvement initiatives

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required

  • 2+ years of experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF)

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations preferred

  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
