Job Description
Scheduling Coordinator Dental Office in Gig Harbor, WA
Our dental office in Gig Harbor, WA is seeking a full-time Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in creating both a strong first impression and a lasting impression for every patient, whether in person or over the phone. The Scheduling Coordinator helps keep the office organized, running smoothly, and focused on delivering an excellent patient experience.
Schedule
- Full-time
- 4 days per week
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain doctor and hygienist schedules to meet practice goals
- Answer incoming calls, including new patient inquiries, emergencies, appointment scheduling, record requests, and follow-ups
- Manage unscheduled lists, ASAP lists, and treatment pending lists to ensure patient follow-through and scheduling goals are met
- Utilize Dental Intelligence for follow-ups and patient communications
- Greet patients and manage check-in and check-out before and after treatment
- Educate and consult patients regarding treatment needs and present treatment plans
- Support new patient growth through marketing and promotional efforts, including recall cards, continuing care calls, referral letters, gifts, and referral coordination
- Document dental treatments and financial transactions, including financial arrangements, prepayments, financing, and collections
- Make pre-treatment financial arrangements with patients
- Bill dental insurance, post payments, and process claim estimations
- Verify insurance benefits, interpret plan details, and enter insurance plans into Dentrix
- Assist other front office team members with overflow tasks as needed
- Balance daily income and charges and prepare deposits
- Follow office procedures for patient referrals
- Respond to doctor, patient, and employee questions or concerns and seek assistance when needed
- Perform other general office duties as required
Requirements
- Previous dental front office experience
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new programs, including Microsoft Office
- Experience working in a digital dental office with dental software proficiency
Pay & Compensation
- $2533 per hour, depending on experience
