Industrial Coating Technician (Industrial Painter) Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Industrial Coating Technician to join our team. This role focuses on applying highquality industrial coatings to a variety of surfaces, including structural components, machinery, metal fixtures, and building surfaces. The ideal candidate has experience in surface preparation, paint mixing, and applying coatings using spray equipment, brushes, and rollers. Responsibilities Apply industrial coatings to walls, structural steel, machinery, fixtures, curbs, and wood or metal surfaces using spray guns. Assess surface types and determine proper coating materials and application methods. Perform thorough surface prep, including removing old finishes, sanding, grinding, cleaning, and filling cracks, joints, and imperfections. Mix coatings, solvents, epoxies, and other materials to achieve correct viscosity, texture, and color. Mask, tape, and protect work areas; move or cover equipment and materials as needed. Complete work orders for interior and exterior coating projects. Maintain and track inventory of coating materials, supplies, and equipment. Store all paints, chemicals, and coatings in compliance with company safety standards. Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project timelines. Essential Skills Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of measurement tools Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and technical drawings. Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs repeatedly. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Ownership of basic hand tools relevant to the trade. Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and written instructions. Prior experience in industrial painting, coatings, or fabrication is highly preferred. Why Join Us?
