Maintenance Engineer- $30-36/hr Job Description As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing company equipment, including production equipment, warehouse bay doors, and electrical systems. You will perform preventative maintenance according to established guidelines and ensure adherence to all company policies and safety standards. You will communicate with co-workers, internal customers, and supervisors regarding equipment repair needs and issues. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with company equipment, including production equipment, warehouse bay doors, and electrical systems. Perform preventative maintenance, such as lubrication of machines and conveyor belt replacement, following established guidelines. Adhere to all company policies, standards, and procedures, including OSHA and safety requirements. Perform changeovers on production line equipment to minimize downtime during production runs. Communicate with co-workers, internal customers, and supervisors regarding equipment repair needs and issues. Complete preventative maintenance records, work order forms, and other required paperwork. Maintain a clean work area and assist in the organization of the maintenance shop. Order parts and maintain parts inventory. Exhibit regular and predictable attendance and work overtime as needed. Essential Skills Experience with electrical systems up to 480V. Proficient in troubleshooting hydraulic systems. Industrial maintenance experience on production equipment or an Associate's/Trade School degree. Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulics, motor repair, and gearboxes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in bottling, plastics, ladder logic, VFD, motors, and filling. Work Environment This position requires working the 3rd shift from 11pm-7:30am in a high-speed bottling plant that fills plastic bottles and cans. The facility is climate-controlled, clean, and well-maintained. Employees will also assist in a new Blow Mold Facility nearby. The role requires walking between facilities in varying weather conditions and wearing hair/beard nets in certain areas. Employees must provide their own tools and work with a supportive maintenance staff. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.
