Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem A specialty retail pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to support patient care at their Dublin, OH location. This role focuses on serving complex patients who typically manage 8-15 medications daily, requiring expertise in medication therapy management and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include: Consulting with patients managing chronic and advanced disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis Providing compassionate, patient-centered care tailored to Medicare/Medicaid and low-income populations, many with low literacy rates Utilizing Pioneer Rx software to maintain accurate medication records and support pharmacy operations Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective medication use in a specialty retail setting Desired Experience and Qualifications: Proven retail and/or specialty pharmacy experience, preferably with a background in specialty medication dispensing Strong knowledge of the top 200-400 drugs commonly used in retail pharmacy Excellent disease state management and patient consultation skills Patience and compassion when working with complex patients and those with limited health literacy Schedule: Tuesday 2/3, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Thursday 2/5, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday 2/10, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Thursday 2/12, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday 2/13, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This position is ideal for pharmacists who value quality patient care over volume and want to contribute positively to the health outcomes of complex patients.
