Experience:

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 10 months of Cardiovascular Operating Room experience.

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

12 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required from any number of months

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required for submission).

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 2+ years in cardiac, vascular, and transplant experience
• Cardiovascular procedures including atrial septal defect repair, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), femoral cannulation, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), laparoscopic cardiac surgery, ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD), MAZE procedure, mitral valve replacement, PDA repair, pericardial window, aortic aneurysm repair; vascular procedures including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, arteriovenous fistula repair, atherectomy, carotid angioplasty, carotid artery stenting, carotid endarterectomy, endovascular aneurysm repair, femoral popliteal bypass graft, renal artery bypass surgery, TEVAR, vein stripping; work settings including CVOR, general OR, hybrid OR, trauma, transplant (heart, lung); emergency management including code response, fire safety, malignant hyperthermia; equipment and supplies including electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords; professional knowledge and skills including administration of blood and blood products, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out) procedure, urinary bladder catheterization, wound management.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Atherectomy, cardiomyoplasty, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), thoracic procedures including lobe resection, thoracotomy, VATS, mediastinoscopy, general surgery procedures including cholecystectomy and colon resection, plastics procedures including abdominoplasty and free flap microvascular surgery, vascular procedures including aortocaval fistula repair, aortoenteric fistula repair, arteriovenous malformation surgery, robotic cardiothoracic surgery using Da Vinci Si, SP, and Xi surgical systems.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Special Requests: RTO required with submission, must be built into contract

Shift & Scheduling:

• Shift: 2X8 shifts and 2X12 shifts: 630 to 2300 with call
• Traveler will work rotating shifts between 06:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Actual scheduled hours will vary within that window based on staffing needs. On call responsibilities will be shared equitably among all team members, and weekend shifts (working) will be part of the regular rotation.

14 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 7 days
