Staff Pharmacist – Compounding Pharmacy

Solutions Pharmacy is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to join our independently owned compounding pharmacy. This role offers a collaborative, lower-stress setting where quality, safety, and patient care come first.

About Solutions Pharmacy

Solutions Pharmacy is a locally owned compounding pharmacy dedicated to customized medication solutions and individualized patient care. We work closely with patients and prescribers to solve therapeutic challenges that commercially available medications do not address.

Our services include but not limited to:

  • Non-sterile compounding
  • Hormone replacement therapy
  • Women’s health medications
  • Pain management formulations
  • Dermatology compounds
  • Pet compounding
  • Customized dosage forms

All medications are prepared on-site. We are a team-oriented pharmacy that values professional growth, strong internal support, and long-term relationships with both patients and providers.

Hours of operation - Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

  • Pharmacists - Expected hours: 40 to 44 per week

Consistent hours support both patient access and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

The Staff Pharmacist plays both a clinical and operational leadership role, which may include:

  • Preparing and compounding medications; packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals
  • Reviewing and interpreting physician orders; identifying therapeutic incompatibilities
  • Monitoring patient drug therapies and advising on clinical interventions
  • Providing pharmacological information to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Directing technician workflow and verifying preparation accuracy
  • Verifying order entries, charges, and inspections
  • Maintaining controlled substance records and inventory integrity
  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
  • Staying current on pharmacy laws and advising management on needed actions
  • Upholding infection control procedures and maintaining a safe, compliant work environment
  • Contributing to overall pharmacy operations, and team success

This role requires strong clinical judgment, technical precision, and a commitment to high compounding standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Active Tennessee Pharmacist License
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care, including counseling
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Innovative mindset, Positive and solution-oriented attitude
  • Ability to collaborate and support team success
  • Demonstrated follow-through and task completion
  • Ability to stay for an extended shifts if called upon
  • Ongoing commitment to mastering high-quality compounding practices

Compounding experience preferred ; However, motivated pharmacists who are eager to learn this specialty are encouraged to apply.
