Lead Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a Lead Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) for our hospital to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. As a Lead Therapist on our team, you will evaluate the respiratory needs of and develop/implement the Respiratory Care Plan for your patients. Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Responsible for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation

Must be self-directed

Maintain all department and hospital records and enter accurate information into the hospital computer for the therapy as given

Set up and administer all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages

Requirements:

Completion of an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree); Bachelors Degree preferred

Minimum of 3 years experience as a licensed Respiratory Therapist; critical care and intubation experience preferred

Clear/active Florida license as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire
