Position Overview

Neighborhood Veterinary Centers – Wallisville is seeking a compassionate, team-focused Associate Veterinarian to join our practice. For more than 20 years, our hospital has been a trusted part of the Wallisville community. We provide a wide range of services while maintaining a welcoming, small-town feel.

• Doctor-to-Tech Ratio: 1:3–4
• Doctors: 1 primary doctor with relief coverage on Saturdays and Mondays
• Services: Dentistry, spay/neuter, soft tissue surgeries, wellness & preventive care, urgent care, pre-surgical imaging and labs
• Additional Services: Boarding & grooming
• Technology & Tools: Digital X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, Tonopen, in-house labs, laser therapy, Phovia light treatment, Scribble AI note-taking, EVET/Pulse

Your Day & Schedule

• Schedule: 4 days per week, rotating Saturdays (8 AM – 12 PM)
• Lunch: Protected daily from 12–1 PM
• Case Mix: 50% wellness, 20% urgent care, 20% surgery, 10% dental
• Appointment Lengths: 15–30 minutes
• Drop-Offs: Accepted with DVM approval
• Referral Support: Specialists at our sister hospitals in Nederland and Houston
• On-Call: Handled primarily by technicians; doctors are rarely called in unless it’s a true emergency
