HVAC Commercial Installer

Since 1983, Granite City Refrigeration and Sheet Metal, Inc. has been designing HVAC systems for commercial buildings in central Minnesota and the 5 state region. We are currently looking for an individual to help fabricate and install these systems. We are looking for a motivated individual to learn a career path, all skill levels are encouraged to apply as on the job training is available.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent GED certificate.
• Mechanical ability and problem solving skills.
• Ability to learn new skills with on the job training.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to follow all customer work rules.
• Ability to climb up and down a ladder carrying tools, equipment, and/or parts in a safe manner.
• Ability to lift up to 100lbs as necessary and up to 50lbs repetitively.
• Professional personal appearance, good hygiene, and cleanliness is required at all times.
• 100% dedication to working safely, hard, being on time, and staying organized.
• Ability to work inside or outside in all weather conditions.
• Must agree to a motor vehicle record search, where permitted by law. Driving violations will not be cause for automatic application rejection. Must be able to drive to local job sites on a daily basis.

• Strong organization skills to keep track of job materials, tools, etc.
• Must be able to work well with coworkers , and other tradesman.
• Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings.
