Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial function with a mid-size construction company. This is a senior executive leadership role responsible for driving financial strategy, operational performance, and data-driven decision-making across DOT-funded and professional services contracts. Experience with DOT experience in Florida is a MUST!

The ideal candidate brings deep experience working with Departments of Transportation (preferably Florida DOT) and understands the financial complexities of engineering, construction inspection, and project-based professional services. This leader will provide strategic direction while remaining hands-on with financial systems, project analytics, executive reporting, and Deltek optimization.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with the Florida Department of Transportation projects and Deltek (Costpoint/Vantagepoint), and brings a hands-on, analytical approach to financial leadership. Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Oversee project-based accounting, financial controls, and margin performance
• Own and optimize Deltek Costpoint/Vantagepoint and executive financial dashboards
• Provide clear project and enterprise-level financial insights to leadership
• Ensure compliance with state DOT requirements, audits, and reporting standards
• Lead and develop the finance team; partner closely with operations and executives

Required Qualifications

• Senior-level finance leadership experience (CFO or equivalent)
• State DOT project experience (FDOT strongly preferred)
• Experience in engineering and/or construction inspection firms
• Advanced knowledge of Deltek Costpoint/Vantagepoint
• Strong project finance, analytics, and reporting expertise
