Adminstrative Nurse Manager - OR

The nurse manager is responsible for the daily operations, staffing, and quality of care in surgical services departments, including pre-operative, intra-operative, post-operative and GI areas.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage the daily functions of the perioperative department which includes the operating room, pre / post op areas and the GI area
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons and other professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth surgical workflows
• Align department goals with hospitals strategic objectives
• Manage staff performance and scheduling
• Manage the units financial budget

Required Background:

• Master's degree from an accredited program required or must be registered in a master's program with projected graduation date in three years of position acceptance
• Valid NYS Nursing License
• Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in perioperative services along with progressive management experience
• BLS/ACLS/Infection Control Certifications
• C.N.O.R Certification
• Membership in A.O.R.N
