Salary Range: $131,000 through $160,000

Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree or higher in related field
- A valid Ohio Administrative Certificate/License
- A valid Ohio Special Education Certificate/License
- Evidence of leadership skills
- Evidence of successful special education experience
- Previous experience in coordinating program among schools and across levels
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills as well as oral and written skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
- Demonstrated knowledge of laws governing Special Education
Overall Duties: The Director of Special Education is responsible for developing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating Special Education program according to Federal and State laws, and district policies and procedures. In addition, the Director serves as the district's liaison with the State Department of Special Education and agencies outside of the local school district. Directs the district's Special Education Program and supervises the Coordinators of Elementary and Secondary Special Education.
