Accounting Specialist - ICP

Brown & Brown is s eeking an Accounting Specialist to join our growing team in Plano, TX!

Under the general supervision of the Regional Team Leader, the ICP Accounting Specialist is responsible for ensuring accuracy when processing insurance payables.

How You Will Contribute :

• Creates daily insurance company payable check processing reports
• Issues carrier payable checks & electronic payments
• Review and process monthly bordereau's for London Carriers
• Review carrier invoice/statement differences and resolve in a timely manner
• Analyzes AMS invoicing issues and resolves with the appropriate team members
• Completes monthly aged accounts payable reconciliations
• Process and reconcile intercompany surplus lines tax payments
• Assists with month end reports
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience to Be Successful :

• Associate or bachelor's degree in an insurance or accounting related discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• 1-3 years' experience in a similar position.
• Experience with insurance, accounting and/or agency management systems preferred.
