Responsibilities:

• Bench and fit both band saws and round saws.
• Maintain Micarta and Babbitt guides.
• Maintain filing equipment.
• Sharpen chipper knives.
• Perform machine center alignments on saws.
• Transport saws as needed.
• Change saws at machine centers.
• Discard and/or repair damaged saws.
• Follow safety standards and procedures at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of saw filing experience.
• Strong commitment to safety practices and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Preferred knowledge of fitting and benching both band saws and round saws.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and leadership.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
• Ability and willingness to join and maintain good standing in the Western States Regional Council of Carpenters (required).
• This position is classified as safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, including THC.

Salary: $37.15/hr, $1.50 shift differential for swing, graveyard, and weekend shifts
