- $20-30 an hour depending on experience

- Full-time preferred (4 days/week) - Alternating Mon-Thurs and then Tuesday-Friday work weeks - every other weekend is a 4 day weekend

- Veterinary experience: 2+ years (Required)

Day Shift only with daily variation due to case schedule but typically average 32-38 hrs/week NO WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS OR EVENINGS.

Practice based out of Arden, NC but we travel ~ 1.5 hour radius from Asheville

Job Description – BRVS is a mobile veterinary surgery practice currently seeking a veterinary technician. Weekends, evenings and holidays are NOT required for this position. In addition, there is minimal to no direct client interaction (weekly call backs usually) and NO financial discussions with clients. We do work closely with host clinic staff members. The desired applicant will work 4 days a week. We are looking for someone that enjoys surgery/anesthesia and has a desire to learn. In addition, we are looking for a great team player and someone that wants to make a long-term commitment to our surgical family. The ideal candidate should have some anesthesia and surgical experience but we are willing to help train the right individual.

Duties include:

- Prepare and clean up before and after surgery, patient preparation for surgery including shaving, radiographs, intubation, and moving into the surgical suite

- Setting up and breaking down surgical equipment

- Monitoring animals under anesthesia

- Assist surgeon as scrub tech and able to maintain a sterile field and environment

- Assist with patient recovery

- Assist with cleaning/sterilizing equipment at home base
