Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic

What you will do:
- Troubleshoot, repair and replace damaged or worn parts
- Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools
- Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers specifications
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on vehicles and equipment
- Read and understand operating manuals, technical manuals, and technical drawings
- Familiar with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical properties
- Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges
- Able to troubleshoot electrical faults and read trouble codes
What you need to be successful:
- Must have High School Diploma or GED
- Must have 5 years verifiable work experience with diesel engines, or relative degree
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, willing to work any shift
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Excellent safety record
- Follow all safety criteria and contribute to the safety program
- Must be willing and able to work in climate weather
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent attendance record
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must have knowledge in the fundamentals of welding
- Must successfully complete a skills assessment, pre-employment drug screen, physical, reference check and background check
