Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

This position provides customs brokerage expertise with an enhanced focus on technology for brokerage clients while collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders to maintain communication with key clients and ensure operational execution of customer requirements. This role will identify ways to improve service and implement continuous improvement projects through leverage of detailed knowledge of the customs brokerage and clearance process, deep understating of core technologies, and engagement with multiple functional teams to maintain and grow customs brokerage revenue. This position facilitates activities (e.g., brainstorming sessions, implementation of corrective action plans, etc.) to reduce churn and identify opportunities to expand customer relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports Primary Sales / Operations with customs brokerage customer accounts, revenue retention, and churn reduction to maintain / grow revenue.

  • Provides dedicated product support, customs brokerage process expertise, and input specific to information technology, during solution development, contract negotiation, statement of work, and pricing agreement to maintain competitiveness and profitability.

  • Participates in customer meetings and quarterly business reviews to provide leadership and strategic vision as related to the technology solutions required to properly support, maintain and grow customs brokerage and ensure long-term partnerships

  • Ensures standard operating procedures and key performance indicators are managed effectively to meet UPS goals and to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Advises customers on supply chain improvement opportunities and works collaboratively with other teams to develop solutions which reinforce the UPS value-added proposition

  • Assists others to ensure UPS meets client customs brokerage performance goals and expectations while minimizing negative impacts to other departments

  • Gathers and shares customs brokerage customer service best practices with a focus on technology enhancement and development

  • Coordinates with other teams to conduct business and customer review meetings with a defined focus on the customer and business needs for enhanced technology systems and support

QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or international equivalent

  • Solid, diverse background in technology services, process improvement, and project management

  • Strong comfortability with Technology EDI Integrations, CW1, Raft AI, Salesforce, SaaS applications and UPS CHB in house technology platforms

Preferences

  • Bachelors Degree or international equivalent in Business, Transportation, Technology or related field

  • Licensed Customs Broker

  • Experience with Agile IT Development Protocol and Business Process Improvement Methodologies

  • Experience with Project Management

  • Job Grade: 30E

  • This is a remote position.

  • Shift: Monday Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $95,400/year to $176,820/year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidates work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the companys performance.
