Position Summary
The events sales Manager Wineries, is responsible for driving private event revenue across our portfolio of wineries across California and Oregon including Robert Mondavi Winery, The Prisoner Wine Co, Booker and Lingua Franca.
This roles focuses on outbound sales, lead generation and conversion of consumer and corporate events and works alongside in house teams to support execution.
This is a manager-level role with accountability for sales performance, event pipeline development and revenue growth. Strong, proactive selling skills and relationship building skills are essential, along with a proven ability to growth event revenue across multiple venues. Role has a commission component .
Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Generation
Own and drive private events revenue across multiple winery hospitality venues
Proactively generate new leads through outbound sales efforts, networking, partnerships, and prospecting
Create required selling tools that showcase our various sites and spaces to potential clients, including physical and digital assets.
Convert inbound and outbound inquiries into booked events, maximizing revenue and utilization of spaces
Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline for consumer and corporate (meetings, offsites, brand events) clients
Consistently meet or exceed revenue and booking targets
Provide leads to Spirits Hospitality sites where appropriate
Portfolio & Client Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for event clients during the sales and contracting phase
Match client needs to the most appropriate winery venue(s) within the portfolio
Build long-term relationships with repeat clients, agencies, corporate planners, and local partners
Upsell event enhancements and premium experiences where appropriate
Collaboration & Internal Alignment
Partner closely with onsite hospitality, events, and operations teams to ensure smooth handoff from sales to execution
Align pricing, packages, and availability with venue teams and leadership
Share client expectations, event details, and revenue goals clearly with execution teams
Strategy, Reporting & Optimization
Track leads, bookings, and revenue using provided CRM and reporting tools
Analyze performance across venues and event types to identify growth opportunities
Contribute to pricing strategies, sales materials, and event packages
Represent the portfolio at site visits, industry events, and trade shows as needed
Key Skills
Sales & Business Development
Proven experience in outbound sales, business development, or event sales (hospitality, luxury, wine, or lifestyle brands preferred)
Strong ability to prospect, qualify leads, and close deals
Experience selling across multiple venues or locations is highly desirable
Relationship Management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable engaging with high-end consumers, corporate clients, and professional planners
Ability to build trust and long-term partnerships
Strategic & Organizational Skills
Strong pipeline management and forecasting skills
Ability to balance multiple venues, priorities, and deadlines
Data-driven approach to tracking performance and optimizing revenue
Collaboration & Leadership
Experience working cross-functionally with operations, hospitality, and marketing teams
Clear communicator who can effectively hand off sales to execution teams
Comfortable operating independently while aligning with broader company goals
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of sales experiences and 2 years of event sales
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong organizational and time management skills
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, evening, weekends, and holidays (?)
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of hospitality events sales experience
5+ years hospitality experience at a winery
WSET Level 2
Additional Qualifications
Knowledge of event types such as weddings, corporate meetings, buyouts, and brand activations
Familiarity with sales reporting tools and dashboards
Willingness to travel between winery locations across California as needed
Passion for hospitality, wine, and delivering premium guest experiences
Represent the company and brand, professionally and graciously with both a professional appearance and demeanor
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
The employee frequently is required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds ( i.e. a case of wine). Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and bending are required .
Work Environment: Working conditions at an event may require the employee to be outside for extended periods of time and/or occasionally in a kitchen with slippery floors. Irregular shifts, nights, weekends, and long hours may be required , particularly when working an event.
Travel Required
Local and national travel may be required .

SalesThe salary range for this role is:
$97,900.00 - $149,900.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employees pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. At Constellation Brands, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
