Brown & Brown is seeking a Senior Benefits Analyst to join our growing team in Dedham, MA!

The Senior Benefits Analyst leads the financial analysis and consulting support for employee benefits clients, leveraging advanced technical and financial expertise to strengthen client relationships and support longterm retention. This role independently reviews and interprets financial and utilization metrics-including monthly financial reports, benchmarking data, and trend analyses; to provide strategic insights and datadriven recommendations. The Senior Benefits Analyst also assists in negotiating renewal proposals and develops plan design changes and alternative funding strategies to ensure clients receive optimized, costeffective benefits solutions aligned with organizational goals.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Oversee Analysts' monthly financial reports, client exhibits, and large-claim detail.

  • Maintain proficient-to-expert financial/underwriting, renewal, marketing, and reporting skills, including financial projections, large-claim analysis, specific stop-loss analysis, demographic analysis, IBNR, and related exhibits.

  • Develop reporting requirements and identify any needed deviations or customizations.

  • Assist Account Executives/Benefits Consultants in preparing requests for proposals, benefit renewals, contracts, summary plan descriptions, agreements, and related materials.

  • Participate in prospective client finalist presentations to represent financial strategy and role expectations, including demographic analysis, claims reviews, and other projects supporting the Sales team.

  • Maintain proficient/expert knowledge of benefits compliance and regulations.

  • Prepare and send monthly financial reports to clients with analysis and large-claim detail.

  • Prepare intermediate-level financial/underwriting exhibits as requested, including financial projections, large-claim analysis, specific stop-loss analysis, demographic analysis, and IBNR.

  • Develop intermediate-level reporting requirements and identify any deviations or customizations.

  • Maintain intermediate knowledge of compliance and regulations in the benefits arena.

  • Provide guidance and training to Benefits Analysts.

  • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects, including participation in client presentations and meetings.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Insurance Producer license in good standing (authorities in states needed to service the assigned book of business)

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • Strong technical knowledge of the industry of expertise currently being targeted. (preferred)

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite. Microsoft Excel - Strong to expert level skills

  • Exceptional telephone demeanor

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • 2+ years' experience in a similar position and knowledge of employee benefits

  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a proactive approach to meeting client financial requirements.

  • This position may require routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. If required, acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are requirements of this position.

Pay Range

$70,000 - $90,000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
